what you are saying really makes sense especially with regard to the cold weather since my Z is sitting in a garage in Lake Tahoe right now. It will get pretty cold in there (below freezing sometimes). So probably I won't have this issue in warmer temperatures (which is usually when I am driving the car). Still - I think I should replace the part. It's a job that I can do somewhat easily. I'll definitely inspect and clean the connections prior to removal and try it but I think a new starter is in my future. Also thank you for the NAPA suggestion.
